Meet Michael, the youngest child in a big family in a far-away land. He is the sparkle in everyone’s eye. The Book Titled “Self” on the Back of the Shelf is a short story / poem in a simple rhyming format that highlights Michael’s adventures as he tries to figure who he should be, spending time with brothers and sister to try to work it out. It does not always go as Michael would plan. Towards the end, it is his grandfather who sits him down and begins to explain to him his own stumbles through life. He encourages Michael to figure out who he is, not what others think he should be. The Book Titled ‘Self’ on the Back of the Shelf, a children’s book with a positive, uplifting message.
Anne Farren, wife and mother of five, was diagnosed with breast cancer in the 1990s. While seemingly beating the odds, Anne was re-diagnosed in 1999, and the cancer had metastasized. Anne lost her battle in November 2000, leaving behind a husband, four sons and a daughter. The collection of raw, emotional poems in “Six Days” reflects the sorrow and pain felt by her family as expressed by her second son, and is available now on Barnes & Noble Nook, Amazon Kindle and other e-readers.

Twist of the Tongue
Twist of the Tongue deals with JT, a young college student who loses focus upon being orphaned. After a meeting with his dean, who doubles as a covert recruiter for US Intelligence, JT is thrust into a quest to seek out a shadow organization called MacNessa. From the foot of the Andes to the sands of the Sahara, JT’s life is manipulated – his girlfriend, his schooling, his travel – in the quest to uncover MacNessa. MacNessa, itself, must deal with its own demons as the leader must explain to his son and heir that their centuries old reason for existing – a worldwide coup d’etat to establish a beneficent dictatorial world order – is based on a family lie. The plot is multi-faceted, with lottery winners turned spies, rugby playing conspirators and a cup of coffee that may change the world. Set in various countries, the use of foreign language vocabulary adds depth and authenticity to the settings and the conversations.
